One thing I noticed about the Germans, certainly the Bavarians , is they were very resolute and never allowed themselves to be pushed around. I can barely recognise the country now: I guess that's what 30 years of weaponised war guilt does to a nation.

I din't say 'black fatigue' in my original comment - you, and others on this thread filled out the blanks yourselves for your own reason, whatever they were. Secondly - the Devil's advocate 'to get people thinking' - that's a very pious and self righteous statement - and suggests to me that you believe you know everything. Nobody knows everything. Has it occurred to you that you may be one of the people who needs to be encouraged to think?
