  1. Is the officer critical? I didn't know that. BTW that officer tackled one of the people who had stopped the attack. 3 people stopped the attacker and brought him to the ground, then the police showed up and roared at them to let him go. The officer in question then jumped on one of the three men who had been holding the attacker down, and the attacker just jumped back up and started stabbing people again while the police stood there and did nothing.

  3. Its worse than that. I saw the entire footage: 3 people wrestled him to the ground within seconds. The police appeared, roared at them to let him go, tackled one of the 3 to the ground, and then stood there doing nothing as the attacker jumped up and started stabbing people again. They only shot him when he stabbed one of the officers in the neck (the same officer who tackled one of his subduers to the ground).

  5.  @GRT-Versley  Exactly. I don't normally say this but it serves that police man right. Notice also how, after ordering them to let go of the knifeman, the police just stood there while he jumped up and started stabbing again: they only shot him after he stabbed one of their own robots.
