The whole slavery thing is BS anyway. There were very few people who owned slaves. At any rate the entire number of African slaves in America came to about 388,000. I compare that with Ireland - between 1649 and 1659 approximately a quarter of a million Irish men, women and children were sold to slave ships bound for the Caribbean (by the British military). That was in just the first 10 years of the occupation of Ireland. The Irish don't wail about it.

In the first 10 years after the British invasion between 100,000 and 300,000 Irish men, women and children were sold to slave ships bound for the Carribean. That was in just 10 years, discounting the following 200 years. During the entire history of slavery in America there were 388,000 slaves. Now - the Irish don't whinge about it but, being white, many of us listen to you lot whinging about your history - and we no longer give a fig - and why should we? Now get on with your life and stop blaming innocent people for what a handful of Multi millionaires did 300 years ago while the rest of white America was living in poverty.
