  1. They'll present it as "your choice" and before you know it they will turn it into "their choice". Do people seriously think our politicians and government can honestly be trusted with that type of power?

  2. ....and the government is in there, rubbing its hands with glee at the thought of being able to rid the state of all those they regard as a burden, whilst using the 'assisted dying' issue to get there. Take a look at how this is working out in Canada: the state is now pressuring people with minor ailments to apply for assisted dying.

  3. Its worse than a war - they want them dead. Unfortunately I'm not even joking. This government regards anyone who is not "producing" as a burden on the state and unworthy of life. They have plenty of money for pensioners' fuel allowance (look at how much they sent to Ukraine), they just don't want to spend it on pensioners.

  5. I agree with that. But don't think for one second the state is getting involved because it cares about people. The state has already decided who they want to live and who they want to die and they are using this debate to get there. Canada has assisted dying and you should look into how that is being used and abused to pressure poor and old people into accepting """assisted dying""".

  7. Tbh there are already hospitals in Britain and Ireland sneakily euthanising the elderly without their consent or their family's consent. The fact that none of these "journalists" are even reporting on this is itself a scandal. They are part of the problem.

  8. Well, exactly - and that's a great point. Of course they don't care about individual choice: they have decided the elderly are a burden on the state and they want them dead. I'm not even joking. The medical establishments in Britain and Ireland are already sneakily euthanising the elderly without their, or their families', consent.

  9. True - no added safeguards - and that's intentional by the state. They are using a perfectly legitimate debate about individual suffering to further their own goals re: who they believe should be allowed to live and those who they believe should be left to die. Canada has assisted dying and the state is now pressuring people into applying for it.

That's the intention: they've already decided who is a "burden" on the state and this is how they intend to get rid of them, by pretending they care about people who want to end their suffering. The winter fuel allowance debacle is another method the state is using to speed up the exit of those it regards as a burden. These are animals.
