  3. Very true. I've been following that conflict for 10 years now (that's when it really started and none of our news channels want to talk about the first 8 years). Ethnic Russians were being slaughtered in East Ukraine by Kiev. Russia spent those 8 years warning Kiev to stop and asking Western leaders to intervene. 14,000 East Ukrainians were killed by Kiev forces during that time: in 2022 Russia finally intervened.

  5. Putin didn't invade Ukraine. KIev has been attacking East Ukraine (which is mainly ethnic Russian) since 2014. They killed 14,000 people in the 8 years leading up to 2022. When they intensified shelling on East Ukraine and began amassing on the border, the East invited Russia in to help them fight back the coming incursion. Russia tried everything they could to make Kiev see sense during those 8 years.
