The PM is the son of immigrants who fled a third world country to Ireland specifically for its freedom and opportunities: the very things he is now taking away. The police commissioner is a shady former RUC officer (the sectarian Northern Ireland police force that was replaced after the troubles in Northern Ireland ended). He recently received a 98% vote of no confidence amongst the rank and file of police officers in Ireland.
