  1. What Russian invasion? Ukraine forces have been attacking Donbass (mainly ethnic Russian East Ukraine) for months. They began an all out assault last week despite diplomatic efforts by the Russians to stop this and so 2 regions of East Ukraine asked Russia to recognise them as independent states. Russia recognised them earlier this week and, with Russian help they began pushing Ukraine forces out of the East. That's it in a nutshell - and btw attacks on East Ukraine have been going on for years. At any rate, I hope it all ends soon and as peacefully as possible.
