  2.  @scotte6465  They know what they're doing: those hedge fund managers had placed huge bets on Gamestop's stock tanking, so they have already lost massive money on that bet - and I believe they are obliged to buy back that stock because they had promised the assets to others - the only difference now is that they can't buy at the rock bottom prices they had been expecting, and Gamestop's stock is rising daily.
