  1. "Big Story" is right. I'm glad you admit it's a story. In fact Ukraine forces had been preparing for an attack on the (mainly ethnic Russian) Donbass region in the last few months: they began shelling Donbass recently and that is when Donetsk and and Luhansk asked Russia to recognose them as independent states: yesterday Russia finally did recognise them after being reluctant to do so until the attacks on Donbass began. It was a recognition - nothing more, nothing less. There. Was no invasion and Donbass did not attack any part of Ukraine. What a dark day for journalism.

  2. Just as British, American and probably Canadian forces and mercenaries have been in Ukraine and Donbass carrying out operations since 2014. In fact there was a NATO commander killed during a failed attack on Donetsk a few years ago.
