There is a very simple solution to this. Facebook is legally defined as a platform, but it is behaving as a publisher by editing & deleting content: this is illegal. They need to publicly declare whether they want to be a platform or a publisher going forward. As a platform they can't interfere with content but also can't face lawsuits over content. As a publisher they can interfere but can also be sued or charged. The solution to this is already there so why aren't the republicans or democrats following this route?
