  1. It is very frustrating but, unfortunately, this was the only way labour voters were going to learn. We have a chance now of turning things around now that the country has turned its back on both tory and labour establishments. All isn't lost: the growth of independent parties and candidates will help put the brakes on lab/con.

  7. Labour made the mistake of behaving like a post-democratic party in a country that still has some democracy. There's no going back to the tory establishment, they're almost as bad as labour and are the main reason labour got in: independent candidates and parties, with enough presence in Westminster, will be able to pressure and stifle the tory/labour/lib den gravy train.
