I few weeks ago I was chatting to a woman who lives in Mannheim, Germany. She told me that there have been protests organised every Monday by people in towns and villages and that the media isn't reporting it: she also asked me to tell people that the police are arresting people who criticise the government. This has been going on for months. She said she's expecting a violent police response in the coming months and said they have been extremely violent before, in a protest in Berlin.

P.S. I remember Donald Trump, in a speech, telling Germany that it was a bad idea to rely on Russia for energy. You could see the German delegation all laughing and smirking at him as if he was a comedian. Looks like they finally got the punchline butI doubt very mush if they're laughing now.

@susannerieger10 I used to live in Munich - many, many years ago - in fact shortly after the wall came down: from what I hear and see it seems to be a completely different place now.

@nikamagic I didn't know the protests started back then. Thanks for letting me know. I lived in Germany, Munchen, a long time ago, just after the Wall came down: I meant to go back there on holiday some day: it's a real pity what the political class has done to that country.
