Yes, always. It was a real pity he wasn't re-elected: he was badly needed in Parliament.

Same here. I can't understand, either, why he wasn't re-elected.

Grew up in Ireland, live in the UK now. Both countries are facing similar problems. I'd known all of this was this was coming since 2010 but there seems to be a desperation and an urgency about what they're doing now. Starmer can't be reasoned with: he has a script handed to him by the civil servants who really run this country while they hide in the darkest corners of the darkest rooms they can find in Westminster and Whitehall. They will fail.

Great man, Andrew. Stuck by his principles throughout. I'll never forget that speech he gave in parliament when they ran out of the place like roaches in torchlight before he started speaking - and even the spectacle of watching a tory MP ordering two lib dems to leave the chamber before he could speak. He was then slandered and expelled by the tory party. But the nation saw that speech.

The govt wants to draw attention away from this growing problem and are protecting as many of them as they can because they are hoping for a major event in the future that they can then use to bring in all sorts of measures. That, in my opinion, is what's going on here. I may be wrong but I don't think I am. I imagine some time within the next five years there will be some sort of attack by armed jihadists (along the lines of the attacks in Europe). The govt will then try to take advantage of the aftermath.

@HopeGreen-m7i Lol - define "premeditation". He was preparing Ricin and had jihadi books and instructions on how to make weapons. Methodical and premeditated - especially the Ricin preparation: you may want to do some research on Ricin - and you may also want to look at the definition of the word 'premeditated' yourself.

Starmer and his party wants this. They are protecting these people and enjoying the frustration and anger that it is all causing.

Politico just posted a video on some of the judge's interesting track record re: sentencing.

I remember watching as Tom Watson MP stood up in parliament and spoke about well connected rings, including those in Westminster, who are involved in this stuff. The front benches on both sides were looking sternly at the floor, including the women. As for Tom Watson: he was told afterwards that his life may be in danger for speaking about this. People need to realise that these political leaders do not care - they regard us as cattle, including our children, nothing more.
