The whole point was harassment and intimidation. That's what the police were up to.

Wasn't it Vine who had Alex Belfield arrested?

Two Tier policing.
49
@Kian2002 Nice try, officer. We saw the footage. Sir Rowley had left a meeting and was running away. A reporter asked him about his two tier policing (hint hint: the gentlemen who assaulted officers at Manchester airport have not even been charged): Sir Rowley, in a fit of passive aggressive pique, grabbed the microphone and threw it to the ground. P.S. You may want to look at the law again, plod - journalists asking questions isn't illegal. Damaging property is.
27
Sir Basil Rowley of Fawlty Yard. That incident reminded me of the scene in Fawlty Towers where Basil attacked his care with a branch.
20
True.

Brendan Kavanagh did an update video: he said that some people from the Chinese community had reached out to him and said that the shouting man was probably a "handler" (whatever that means) and that he was probably armed. He also said that the group are trying to have records of the incident deleted and he had asked his viewers to send him copies of the live stream if they have them. The police. Well, there were no surprises there.
16
My understanding is that the guy was actually cracking a joke, not plotting to damage property: but we all know the real reason this is all happening is because he made a comment that branded him a latter day heretic in this new era of the secular witch hunt.
16
Yep. I'd been subscribed to this guy for a while - he's beginning to come across as slippery and untrustworthy - and he's been giving that impression for a number of months now.
15
Well done. And those weren't friends: I'll bet they're wishing they listened to you now.
14
TBH the police have become a law onto themselves in this country, anyway: there is also the "invitation to come down to the station for a voluntary interview which you do not have to attend but you will be arrested if you don't". Crimebodge featured this on his own channel when he was arrested and charged for saying "no sh*t" to a policeman.
13
I agree: been subscribed to this chap for a while. He got a dislike from me for this video and I'll probably unsubscribe, too. He's been coming across as wishy washy at least, and disingenuous at most in the last few months. I'm beginning to distrust him.
11
@aydy-rf9yl3qr2e Are you saying he 'assaulted' her? Because that's the whole issue here - the weird shouting man accused him of that.
11
Pity the police don't put ANY enthusiasm into tackling soaring knife crime....or any other crime, for that matter. They were very active during the covid witch hunt because law abiding members of the public make much easier and polite targets.
9
Most police these days are like that: and the big, fat WPCs are the very worst for some reason.
9
True - not only that, he was cracking a joke - not planning damage of property.
8
I agree - and he says the place is too white anyway, so I'm sure he won't mind moving somewhere where the skin colour of the inhabitants doesn't offend him so much.
7
@cjay2 Thank you for clarifying. There has been a lot of updates since: Mahyar Tousi TV has identified the people that accosted Mr Kavanagh and their backgrounds (on his yt channel) and it makes for interesting viewing. The piano itself (which had been donated by Elton John) is now being cordoned off and guarded so that nobody can use it - a reporter from the Daily Express is trying to contact him for comment about it. This has really blown up.
7
Exactly right. Nobody should excuse police incompetence and harassment. They didn't earn the hatred towards them out of thin air.
6
He's not. he considers himself relevant.
6
He won't explain that, he'll just make general excuses for it. Been subscribed to this guy for years - but I'm disgusted at all the excuses he's been making for the complete subversion of justice we've seen recently. I just unsubscribed.
6
@hevchip741 Definitely he was trying to make that sound worse. Nasty individual.
5
Clearly her bosses see nothing wrong with her criminal behaviour: what does that say about them and their entire force.
5
Ah, yes: but the police don't object to Packham's political leanings.
5
Exactly. This guy (who I used to respect) is showing who he really is. Incredible how brazen he is being about it.
5
Switching my TV off many years ago is one of the best decisions I ever made: up until then I was, essentially, allowing the worst types of people into my living room everyday.
5
@neilbarkeraswell They didn't try very hard. They immdediately took the sides of those CCP thugs - and yes they are CCP members: they are in London filming a piece for Chinese state TV.
4
At last: a legal expert commenting on all this.
4
It certainly looks that way - or maybe he has ambitions and is using his channel to that end. Either way its a very bad look and I've just unsubscribed from his channel after being subscribed for years. Everyone shows who they really are in a crisis. I didn't expect him to be such a disappointment.
4
@abrr2000 I see. Personally I'm amazed that bicycles are even allowed on pedestrian pathways - it makes me wonder why specific cycle paths were even created in the first place: generally I find cyclists to be selfish, ignorant an aggressive - where I am they even break the lights on busy roads. Lol- but there again I guess all I have to do is look at the caliber of people that gravitate into councils, anyway - maybe I shouldn't be expecting wisdom and good sense in the first place.
4
I worked in IT for a large media company many years ago in London: major clients, state of the art IT equipment and yet one of my main jobs was preventing the server computers from crashing. I even remember literally jumping from computer to computer in the room for 3 hours one night to stop the whole lot from crashing. Computers are far from perfect and always will be: they are nothing but glorified calculators. No-one should depend on them.
4
That was always my understanding, too. I was shocked to hear that even authorities don't seem to be sure about this. I've got into a number of confrontations with fast and aggressive cyclists on footpaths: they shouldn't be there but even if our all knowing Orwellian overlords aren't sure all I can do is shrug my shoulders.
3
Exactly.
3
Nothing surprises me about the Victorian police - I know all about them and I live in England!
3
@@homie3461 Thank you, officer: its just such a pity you're not so quick to go after actual criminals plotting actual crimes.
3
@ewalk4692 True. Mind you: I will say one thing about Count Dankula - they won't dare touch him again: he caused them way too much of a headache.
3
@chrisbamborough222 Lol.
2
I'm sure the officer's parents are very proud of their stunning and brave crime busting daughter. Clearly she and her colleagues have cleaned up the streets of Yorkshire so well that there is now nothing left but the pettiest of non-crimes to deal with.
2
The people who are defending them are probably exactly like them and doing it regularly themselves.
2
Come on. We all know the police are now harassing Laurence Fox for political reasons, regardless of what excuses they use.
2
@gwpcs Yes, that's it. Amazingly, when Robert Peel announced his intention to set up a Met. police force, he faced overwhelming resistance from the Victorian public: all of the concerns they cited have come to pass - every single one of them.
2
@majorlaff8682 Haha!
2
Yeah I've had experience, as a pedestrian, of nearly being mown down by cyclists breaking traffic lights and whizzing down pavement and the offenders were not just 'young males' - they included young females and even males and females who are old enough to know better.
2
TBH I'm not sure UK courts would have handled it differently. There was a case some years back where a cyclist on a pedestrian walkway actually killed a young woman: he mowed her down shouting "Get out of the way because I'm not moving". He was only charged and convicted with recklessness. No jail time, I think he got a fine. The amount of people who have been arrested and convicted in the UK for posting social/political opinions is also disturbing. But that's just my layman's perception of it. I'm not legally qualified or experienced.
2
Thanks for observing the rules: I wish more cyclists did. Where I live they regularly break traffic lights (even when pedestrians are crossing) and they whizz along pathways. Unfortunately, from what I see, its the majority of them, but I do appreciate those who stick by the rules.
2
Well said. I've had serious doubts about this guy for a few months now, and I've been subscribed for years. I no longer believe the guy is trustworthy and I've just unsubscribed.
2
It was justified force. You'll rarely, if ever, hear me say a good word about today's police - but this was justified force. The man was violent, he attacked people, he broke a WPC's nose, he was restrained. And what did his bosses do? They suspended him for the doing the job the police are supposed to do. Meanwhile, in Yorkshire, where the police arrest autistic youngsters for making a comment, and run away when a riot starts, there isn't a suspension in sight. The entire leadership of the police needs to be removed.
2
On the contrary - we should encourage them to be trained there - as long as its a one-way ticket.
2
I've just unsubscribed from your channel after being subscribed for years. I don't know why you are making excuses and giving cover to this extremely dangerous direction that our justice system has taken, especially recently: only you know why you're doing that but the fact that you are is enough for me. Adios.
2
Exactly.
