I could never understand the obsession that our political class over here has with Russia. It seems to go back hundreds of years, too, unless I'm mistaken. It's almost primal with them. Nobody here in the UK, apart from Whitehall, wants anything to do with that conflict.

@MickZorro Absolutely. I was aware of most of that - but tbh they almost seems as if they're possessed, not just obsessed: and it seems, to me, almost spiritual as well geopolitical.

@alicekrausova2715 Very true. The same old tactic. I can assure you no-one over here in the West wants war with Russia. There is a channel called 'The Duran' on youtube and they do some very good analysis on Ukraine. If you want to know how much goodwill there is towards Russia by just ordinary people from all over the world, pop over to that channel and just have a look at the comments section.

@aneurindavies5943 True. Its an absolute obsession with them. It reminds me of Ahab and ginat the whale - and how his obsession with destroying finally led to failure and his own destruction.
