Mary - do some research on what really happened in Ukraine, starting in 2014 when the govt was overthrown in a coup financed by the US State dept: then the attacks, pogroms and massacres that were directed at ethnic Russian speakers in East Ukraine which led to a brief war in East Ukraine, which is mainly ethnic Russian. Putin brought an end to that war by brokering peace between East & West Ukraine. Ukraine's govt ignored the peace agreement and between 2014-2022 killed 14,000 East Ukrainians while Russia did everything it could to diplomatically stop these attacks. In February 2022 Ukraine began intensifying shelling on East Ukraine and 60,000 troops amassed on the border ready to over run Donbass: this time East Ukraine and the Russians had had enough. Zelensky is a puppet dictator oligarch who is being used as a tool by the US and NATO. You're being lied to wholesale about the conflict in that region. Bono is a puppet of the same people.

@maryl1785 Not true: you got that from mains stream media and politicians: the ones who told us Iraq had WMDs, Gaddafi pulled babies out of incubators and Assad gassed his own people: all so they could get regime change in those countries. How anyone even still believe these proven liars is beyond me. Crimea voted overwhelmingly to join the Russian federation. It was a majority vote, not an annexation. Secondly - at the same time Donetsk and Luhansk asked Russia if they could rejoin, too but Russia turned them down, but offered them ordnance in their war against Ukraine's military. In Feb 2022 when Ukraine's military was getting ready to over-run Donbass, Donetsk and Luhansk both asked Russia to recognise them as Independent States: Russia did so, and then both states invited Russian forces in to help them put an end to this once and for all - and that's what they're doing.

@maryl1785 So you've reduced yourself to snarky remarks and generic cliches, now? Tbh I thought you were better than that. No worries.
