Every now and again I feel very sorry for the Ukraine military for what they're going through....but then I remember the 8 years of constant shelling and slaughter while they laughed at Russian diplomats, then the massacre in Odessa - and how the thugs that carried it out were offered (and accepted ) their own battalion within the Ukraine army.

@michaelkatz275 You believe Prigozhin all of a sudden? The Ukraine military DID shell and attack Donbas for 8 years: and yes, Donbas (when they did) had a right to respond. Prigozhin wasn't there - but the 14,000+ people that Ukraine forces killed during that time were.

@gtengineer1967 You're lying again. The 14,000 PLUS were casualties in Donbas: NOBODY was attacked in West Ukraine. In fact West Ukraine wasn't even touched during Kiev's attempted (and failed) attempt at ethnic cleansing of the East. The only West Ukrainians that were attacked or killed were the f@sclst troops that were shelling and attacking Donbas. All of those captured soldiers were returned alive to their families: which was a fate the f@sclsts that you support never extended back to Eastern POWs.Stop lying: you're "debating" with someone who has been following this conflict for a long time.

@kerrynball2734 I fully understand the geo-chess games and proxy war that Ukraine is: my comment was about it being difficult to sympathise with an army that is being pulverised, because of what they did, and intended to do, to the people of the East of that country.

@gtengineer1967 Its obvious that both ethnic Russian and ethnic Ukrainian people live in Donbas, with ethnic-Russian being the majority: I never said otherwise. Stop trying to change the subject and lie just because you are being trounced.

Those protesters were herded into the Union building, then set on fire: those who escaped were bludgeoned or shot to death by Azov. Gosh - amazing how all those Russian armed activists were around but none of them were there at the union building to help those who were locked up and burned alive inside. In fact there's one one 'photo or video showing what you described.

@kerrynball2734 The real tragedy is that the military industrial complex, and the twisted theology that powers it (whether they realise it or not) has managed, once again, to turn Slav against Slav in yet another blood bath in Europe. I can only hope that this war ends soon and that the blood-addicts who started all this, and who don't even live there, will be thrown out.

@charlesmartel6103 I guess it must have felt like the deepest irony being shelled by their own forces from Kiev. Now that you mention this I remember hearing an old Ukrainian man (ethnic Wets Ukrainian) talking about how members of the Azov Battalion shot him in the legs, despite the fact that he was ethnic Ukrainian. Even attacking their own people. Thanks for reminding me about that.

@charlesmartel6103 I'm glad you finally admit that Ukrainians (soldiers) were shooting (ethnic) Russian separatists - but, they have also shot ethnic Ukrainians - and there is no shortage of stories about that: granted it was the fanatics from the Azov Battalion that were doing that, but they have been shooting ethnic Ukrainians, too.

@midnightdl Hey dude: Russia was invited in by Donbas, East Ukraine to push back an invasion force that was amassing on the border. If you do some research, homie, you'll find that after the massacre in Odessa and the murder of Donetsk's chief of police, in 2014 Crimea moved to protect itself by voting to rejoin the Russian federation: Russia accepted but did not accept Donetsk and Luhansk rejoining. In 2022 when Kiev forces began amassing at the border and shelling intensified, Donetsk and Luhansk asked Russia to recognise them as independent state. Russia accepted, and directly afterwards Donetsk and Luhansk invited Russia in to help push back this force and end it once and for all. Dude.
