Not a fan of McGregor: I don't like him -but I find the timing of these allegations remarkably coincidental in the wake of his comments about the Irish government and his interest in running for President of Ireland. There seems to be a pattern whenever someone criticises government and then announces they may be running for office.

  6.  @ShaneFagan  No Shane. Beyond reasonable doubt happens at the trial stage, not at the investigation stage. Prosecutors said there was no evidence to move forward - prosecutors move forward with whatever evidence they have - then it goes to trial: the jury then decides on reasonable doubt at the very end of the trial.

  16. I used to think it was a bad idea letting cameras into courtrooms - but I can see their value now - people get to see first hand how badly lawyers can behave: the Kyle Rittenhouse trial was a real eye opener in that regard.

Clearly you think answering the door to a gang of trigger happy policemen is an offence that should carry the death penalty. And by the way - GENIUS - I did look at 2:30 - 2:36 and, just like you, I see a grey, blurry image of the man: - but, unlike you, I don't fill spaces in my own head by imagining things that aren't there. And, of course, genius, if he was pointing a gun at them he would have had his arm extended. Not to mention that if he did have one in his hand they could have shouted "Police. Drop the gun', but instead they shot him dead....Einstein. Some people smh.

  19. A judge. Jones said during his deposition that he believed what he was saying to be the truth. She answered by saying "Well, what you believe to be true isn't necessarily true". A very unprofessional comment from a biased judge - she also didn't seem to realise that she was implying she knew Jones was being truthful.

  24. I'm amazed at the hatred and the glee being showed by so many people here. I can understand people not liking the guy but the intensity of hatred directed at him seems really personal for some reason.

And pardon me if I don't take your word for the law in that state, if your interpretation is anywhere near as skewed as your vision.   37.  @lootingiv4058  No. Snooping around is snooping around. Take another look at the footage. Three loud knocks on the door, followed by "Police. Open up" would have done it. Not only would it have done, it's protocol: it';s protocol so that situations like this don't happen. He would have thought "Ah. It's the police. It's not someone snooping around in the dark up to no-good. I'll put the gun down and answer the door". Very simple, really.

Be very careful about laughing about the law being weaponised to destroy people who you hate: because one day the same corruption could be used against you and the people you like. Corruption has an appetite and it doesn't care who it goes after.
