  1. I like the design of the Kyo machiya the high ceilings and old timber charm bamboo floors if there all gone were will be japans history and charm sad!!!! Hey Greg traditional houses here in Sydney city Australia are called terrace houses they are about 100 to 150 plus years old there mostly joined on both sides some with money have free standing houses normally narrow 3.5 meters wide up too 6 meters wide around 100 to 300 sqm of land some times parking but lots with no parking around the city of Sydney prices from 1 million up to 15 to 20 million dollars!! There cool in summer but can get little cold in winter but gas heating can fix that!!! Also we have heratige laws that you can not demolish them so that's great internal u can do what u like modernised them up but the front must stay with in keeping if the era past so that good to reflect in the past times!!! They have charm and history just like the kyo machiya!!!! 👍
