  1. As a Canadian, I know how you feel. Our economies have shifted from the best capitalism can do to the super shitty Anglo-American-style of extreme capitalism. You can't even point out the difference because "it's all capitalism," or "we all have welfare states."😹Any kind of socialistic ideas about 'universality' and high standards of living for all are completely absent. And extremely difficult to explain. Instead we get the cold hand of charity, for the new class of people in poverty, and resentful bitching about taxes and not paying to feed other people's kids.🤷‍♂Some forms of capitalism are shittier than others
