@simoncox9689 I went to a secular elementary school that nonetheless reflected the community in which I lived, which was majority Mennonite. This amounted to not being allowed to dance. The school reflected the village community, but it was secular: they did not teach any religion at all. We watched Olympic hockey in class because it was part of the national culture, like the pagan-Christian mashup we call Christmas, and the pagan oddity we call Halloween.
In contrast, the Boy Scouts in the village was run by Mennonites, and it was faith-based. We had bible study sessions about Jesus. We did not study Islam or Judaism. If we had, they'd have taught us Jews, Christians and Muslims all believe in the same God.
Today we would not design a building without wheelchair ramps (doh!) or extra rooms for prayer, meditation, chess club ;-) It's a minor accommodation. We'd probably also design men's, women's and co-ed toilets
