@joyphillips1821 For the 1st time ever, Hamas launched a military assault, named Al-Aqsa Flood, after the campaign of IDF attacks on worshippers in Al-Aqsa Mosque. And for the first time, Palestinians saw someone fight for them, when all hope seemed lost. And as it happened, the military assault was very successful. Al-Qassam fighters took 11 military bases which of course, are placed in the kibbutzes, which serve both as homes for soldiers on the base, as well as a human shield. Mentioned as a point of counter-propaganda. Hostages were almost naked because it's 80 degrees and they're at a rave at 6am.
By all military accounts it was a world changing victory. One week it seemed Palestine would be wiped off the map, and the next everything is on the table. The only certainty is the status quo is impossible. It's particularly damning that US, UK, and Canada are willing to go down as complicit in genocide. For Canada, one moment you're cheering for Nazis, next thing you know, you're cheering on genocide
