  2. Once again with all due respect police are not charged with protecting the public. That's why the supreme court ruled in 2005 that the police are not responsible for protecting the public. You may have noticed on police cars they are no longer allowed to put on to serve and protect. It's the same reason why you cannot sue the police for not protecting you.
