Hi, Peter! Just now discovered your channel. What a pleasure to be shown around this part of New York. It's so different from where I'm live in Indiana. I such a homebody that I can go for years without leaving the city limits of my town but love to learn about New York. You and your viewers may be interested to know that the study of wealth is called Plutology. I've never been to New York City but have read many fascinating non-fiction and fiction books about or set in the city. I'd like to recommend the novels and short stories and also non-fiction of Louis Auchincloss who was from a prominent New York family and was connected by marriage to the Kennedys; another "insider" author of wealthy New Yorkers was Stephen Birmingham who wrote the fascinating "Life at the Dakota" in the late 1970's as well as books about the history of wealthy Jewish families. He also wrote novels such as "Carriage Trade" and "The Wrong Kind of Money". Going back further there are Henry James and Edith Wharton. A can't-put-it-down book is "Fortune's Children" about the Vanderbilts written by one of them: Arthur T. Vanderbilt.v I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
