@ImAfemaleNoob2 I second the motion, Captain. I live about 20 feet from an intersection of streets and on rainy days if much water collects there I go out and clear the leaves and sticks from two storm drains across from one another. Nothing at all on the scale of this video but it's satisfying to see that water start pouring down through the grate. The last time I did that a family was walking by and the mom thanked me for what I was doing. I wasn't looking for a compliment or thanks but it was nice. My grandfather years ago cleaned out storm drains near his house, just did it because it was a good thing to do and maybe enjoyed it. There may be genetic predisposition to clearing out drains!

We don't know if the man came back to clear it later. Too, as mentioned below, storm drains will have to be cleared out over and over. It's not one-and-done. I clear out storm drains near where I live and they don't stay clear once leaves, sticks and debris are removed. It's an as-needed task.

@mvaiks We don't know if the man was back later or not or if someone else did more clearing later. Of course more debris will be there as the water keeps draining. I doubt the man in the video had the freedom to keep standing there and clearing the drain over and over when he probably had other obligations. Too no one was stopping other people from assuming some responsibility.
