It's now many years ago, maybe late 70's or early 80's, when a lifeboat from the Andrea Doria washed up on a beach in, I think, New Jersey here in the U.S. In a similar incident a lifeboat from the Britanis (sank on the way to the scrapyard when she had the name Belofin) some years after the liner sank washed up on shore which I think was in Africa.
