Ursula's story is understandable to me. When I was 20 and my brother 22 our father was killed in a horrific head-on collision with a coal truck. I was already suffering from what might be described as anxiety and agoraphobia then after the death of my father, who was quite a case history himself, our family moved to a new town. My brother, who is probably also autistic, became not only a hoarder but a violent hoarder. The death of our father must have been a part of my brother's hoarding. As our mother's health declined my brother's hoarding got worse. Ursula's story give me insight into the story of my own family which may have a genetic tendency to mental problems.

Having watched only part of this show I now have a bag of books filled up and I'm taking them to the Little Free Library up the street from me. More books will follow---I can only carry so many at one time! I haven't even gone out the door yet and I already feel better!

Good point! I think it would be good to get someone from an auction firm and who can use the internet to widen the range of possibly buyers.

I live in a small efficiency apartment and there's quite a bit of stuff in it, mostly books. I'm gradually downsizing and my goal is to have things downsized and orderly enough that in the event of my death my place can be cleared out in one day.

Many comments are saying that the teapots should have brought in more money, that the teapots are worth much more than the money for which they were sold. When I had an auction after the death of a parent in 2010 there were some very good items that brought in not very much money. The auctioneer told me that anymore people want to go to Walmart to buy things for their home. Too here in the U.S. and maybe elsewhere people don't want the family silver or china or the nice furniture their grandparents had. Part of this may be due to the popularity of minimalism and decluttering and the Kon Mari Method and Swedish Death Cleaning. If no one wants the teapots then can we really say they're valuable?

Only 14 minutes into the show and I'm noticing how death is a recurring theme in David's situation. There are so many references to death, burial, the grave but also "re-awakening".
