Privacy and solitude are great but as I'm approaching 60 and have had the experience of being alone in my place after surgery I've become aware of the value of having someone else around in case of illness or accident. I would like to share a place with someone/s and I think there can be an arrangement where there's a balance of space and time for oneself and of interacting with other people. If the people sharing a place have the same priorities I'm sure something can be arranged that will work for everyone.
