This place is Wow City. Only drawbacks: I don't go for bathrooms that connect bedrooms; the privacy issue/possibility of someone walking in on you at an awkward moment. Also if the elevator is the only means of entering and exiting the apartment then the apartment is not for me because of fire safety/emergency issues. Too for an extra layer of protection I'd rather have an elevator that opens into a foyer or hallway, not right into my living space.

@Terrence Bryant Maybe and maybe not. You don't know what's in my bank account.

@jeremyepstein7977 That is some good news! No matter how great the apartment and the view, if there's not a stairway with a reasonable chance of getting to safety then you just have a beautiful potential death trap. i think of fires such as the Triangle Shirtwaist fire there in New York or the fictional fire in "The Towering Inferno" and how the stairs in the Glass Tower were blocked by spilled cement. There should always be more than one route to or from. For me I don't want to ever live higher than the third floor and the first and second floors are even better.

@donniemoder1466 I didn't have an opinion one way or another about staircases. I don't live in NYC and am not familiar with their buildings codes. I did hope there was one and I'm glad that proved to be correct.

@jeremyepstein7977 I'm glad to hear that that's a law. I've never been in a high-rise fire but I have been stuck in an elevator. I presently live on a second floor and I'm staying with that!

Exactly! I was going to post a comment about that. If this apartment doesn't have access to a staircase for emergency use then people can be trapped in the apartment during an emergency. I'd want a second, alternate means of getting in and out of there.

@georgiasmith7615 For me no stairs for emergency or just for walking up and down means no sale. I grew up watching movies such as "The Towering Inferno" and I won't allow myself to be trapped in a place without stairs no matter how great the apartment.
