  1. "....a shrine to your god". And the mantlepiece shrine would have a little icon of Cash Jordan the patron saint of New York renters. I can tell that this apartment is now in its third century. It would be fascinating to look at this space down through the years to see what the interior was like and to see the people who lived there. I'm guessing the floor plan has changed a lot over time. Maybe the apartment was once a bedroom area or parlor?
