I'm glad you explained the hamper! I was thinking it might have been the top of a laundry chute down to a laundry room in the basement. I've lived in a couple of houses that had those features.

@arlenesolis024 That reminds me of what I saw in one of Cash's recent videos made in an older apartment. I'm sure the white ceiling beams had varnished wood that had been painted over. The metal plates around the old glass doorknobs had also been painted over and I wouldn't be surprised if the white doors also had painted-over varnish. Sad to see all that and it would have been easier to just leave those things as they were.

Nice neighborhood and nice apartment. The style of bathroom fixtures doesn't concern me particularly as I grew up in an older house which had fixtures from different eras, just give me a clean bathroom (bathtub preferred for a good, hot soak) and not TOO many mirrors. Really, I somewhat prefer older-style fixtures---but not so old that it means big piece of wood with a round hole in a tiny structure behind the house or something kept under the bed!---I'm really not a sofa person so I'd have the bed away from the kitchen area and get a regular table. It would be nice to sit there and eat a meal and watch the scene outside.
