  1. Yay! I've heard of the famous Strand bookstore and I'm glad to see it's still in operation. If my memory is right that's where Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe first met. Maybe another viewer can confirm or correct me. The huge old apartment building in the distance is the Beresford apartment building. Quite a view and quite a neighborhood!
