  1. Good point about the fire hazard. I've heard that the highest a firetruck ladder goes is five stories and I believe the apartment here is on the sixth floor. Not for me. I don't want to live higher than the second or third floor.

  2. Cash, I liked that glimpse at 1:06 of the book of tabloid covers. Over the years I've kept a mental list of my favorite scandal sheet/tabloid headlines that I've seen at the store: PET'S REVENGE --- LITTLE GIRL POSSESSED BY SPIRIT OF DEAD POODLE; I GOT AIDS KISSING THE BLARNEY STONE; GIANT CONDOR CAPTURES JET LINER --- FEEDS PASSENGERS TO ITS YOUNG; DRACULA IS ALIVE! Good times...good times.... Great to see the famous Strand bookstore and you picked a good book. The late Michael Dorris was an outstanding American writer. The apartment six floors up is too much for my aging, arthritic legs but that view: wow! What a pleasure it would be to just sit there and look out at scenery.
