  1. Cash, it's much the same here in Bloomington, Indiana/mini-Manhattan. The presence of a huge, over-populated university in the middle of town sends rents up and up while blue-collar/working class people can't afford to live in town and while more and more apartments are being built. and at the same time we have many homeless people. I 'm not a builder or economist but even I can see that some kind of economic bubble is going to have to burst.
