  1. Back in the early 1990's I worked in Red Cross Blood Services here in the U.S. and I remember talking to an elderly volunteer lady name Inez. She knew of my interest in ocean liners and told me that though the loss of the Titanic was of course terrible, what really had an effect on her parents was "...the sinking of the Lusitania". I suppose it was because the sinking of the Cunard liner was done intentionally while the Titanic disaster was an accident.
