The Prime Minister of Finland, Ernst von Born, barely spoke Finnish. Finland joined the European Union in 1995 and was one of the first countries to adopt the euro on 1 January 1999.The Finns have never been admitted to the government. Pro Russians were kicked out of the Defense Committee.
