Crazy that July is named in honor of Gaius Julius Caesar. In Finnish, it is literally hay-moon, because it is not an Indo-European language.

@harshbansal7982 In the case of Finland, political situation after the war of 1940 was similar to that of Austria in 1945. You could vote for Jesus, but it won't bring you more butter on rye bread.

30:50 Your image of the American Nazi is historically inaccurate, because the KKK was anti-Catholic at the time. Also, most of Afrikaners were Protestants. They were British allies (cannon fodder). Italy, Austria, Slovakia and Croatia are mostly Catholic.

@michaelkovacic2608 However, now a different country for a reason. IMO the conscription system fits Austria like a glove and is the best guarantee for all future challenges.

@TheImperatorKnight However, it is certain that the evangelical influence is strongest in the Southern United States. I’m just trying to understand why they didn’t switch sides. At the first free elections held in Austria (1945), the Christian Democrats won with 49.8 percent of the vote and an absolute majority of seats in the legislature. Btw. The Devil All the Time (2020) is an interesting movie, at times a bit gloomy. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt7395114/

Mock Harris Ronald Reagan served in the stateside. I'm not arguing that Germany wasn't aggressive by default, but it's absolutely possible to avoid the whole conflict. Not to mention Ireland, which was persecuted by both alliances. The same goes for Germany, which could have improved its relations with the United States.

Closer to 250,000. Most of the victims were foreigners.

@sorsocksfake War of aggression in the East? Sounds familiar. People seem genuinely delighted, though. https://youtu.be/I4PIlf8qrm8

When you go past the "former" KGB agent you have gone too far left.
