Soldiers are born every year. Germany would have been capable of striking already in 1946 without the nuclear deterrent. The USSR was starving. They were unable to capture Bonn, Copenhagen, Rome, Manila, Tokyo and Paris. A small part of Berlin is a pretty trivial conquest. The production gap was greater than today and it still exists.

Nazi Germany was so massive that I don't count it as one unit. Gebirgsjäger troops were certainly at the top of their field.

Replace the 2021 army with 1989 Afghan army. Give them Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit, Stryker etc. That's a more realistic comparison.

@petervote7914 I think Chamberlain has been criticized too much. His mistake was to declare war. Chamberlain should have converted to Irish.
