@TheImperatorKnight Also, if you want to promote libertarianism, a list of some of the most popular tax haven countries is far better than reminding people of the Irish Potato Famine. On the other hand, countries that were relatively unaffected by the WW2 such as Sweden experienced considerable economic growth from 1945 to 1973.

@Guilherme-ms3ub There is also a lot of overlap with Judaism in Christianity. I wouldn’t say the SS was a Christian movement. It was more like a destructive cult, at its best as Mormon Church. Nevertheless, over 50%...60% were Christians, given the support of post-war Christian parties.

That’s why the Americans couldn’t get rid of Hirohito because they were too racist

The Finnish word is actually paradise, so politicians make statements like, "paradises must be destroyed". Iltalehti, a tabloid newspaper, wrote in March: "These are the worst paradises in the world." 1. the British Virgin Islands

@dragosstanciu9866 All sources are prohibited, including youtube and Wikipedia.

@dragosstanciu9866 Btw. I have to test one sentence at a time because I don’t know which sentence triggers the censorship.

@TheImperatorKnight That seems to be a fairly common standpoint in Central Europe. My question is why are you in a military alliance with Germany, where most of the post-war leaders were Nazis. In my opinion, it's a bit illogical.

I would like to know how nobles were treated in the Soviet Union. Only the king of Cambodia comes to mind as a sympathizer. After graduation in 1975 Norodom Sihamoni left Prague and began to study filmmaking in North Korea, and in 1977 returned to Cambodia. Historian Malinowski quotes; of 312 families of the old aristocracy 3,592 princes joined the Nazis (26.9%) before Hitler came to power in 1933. Hitler, Goering, Himmler, and other Nazi leaders, frequently expressed sympathy for the former Prussian kingdom.

In short, Czechoslovakia was formed from the former territories of Austria and Hungary. Chamberlain is a warmonger. Nazi germany was a mixed economy 😆

@carloskleiber8500 They should have sent social workers to help the Japanese.

Tony Scofield You died of stupidity. My grandpa died of smoking. Well, technically the same thing

Well said. We fought the wrong enemy.

Obviously, blue on blue is not unusual. However, fragging is the deliberate killing or attempted killing by a soldier of a fellow soldier, usually a superior officer. Did fragging occur within the Axis forces, or were they more cohesive than other countries? Excluding the forced side switching.

Obviously, Chamberlain's biggest mistake was to declare war on Germany. They didn't save anyone but prolonged the war
1
@czechpatriot2230 Nor did he declare war at the beginning of the Winter War, forcing Finland to join the Axis forces, thus giving Blenheim production to Germany.

I wouldn't be sad if the Nazis had won or lost. We don't need to come up with complex reasons for imperialism or war, it's basic human nature. Just look at 2019–2021 Persian Gulf crisis. In practice, Englandization (see Finlandization) would have meant censoring the BBC. Mere abiding by the Germany's foreign policy rules (Irish foreign policy) doesn’t mean ass licking at street level. In the case of occupation, regional changes are often the opposite what people imagine, because they are thought of as internal borders. For example, the transfer of the Crimean Oblast in 1954.

It's not that simple. If Catholicism was equal to Nazism, it would have been banned after WW2. There are more Catholics in Indonesia than in the Nordic countries.
1
Churchill was a commie helper. It's the complete opposite of libertarianism.

@LucioFercho That is the Old Testament. You know, it was written before Jesus was born. Considering 2.4 billion followers, a fairly peaceful religion.
1
@LucioFercho You read like the Devil reads the Bible. That is why we have clarifying works, such as Letters and Papers from Prison by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. What you describe is known as Prosperity Theology. You know, when Jesus chops the cross into firewood.

@lisap.31 They didn't include it in the first place. The first Finnish Bible was printed in Stockholm in 1640, during a religious war.
1
@lisap.31 Why do you blame Christians for a collection of ancient religious Hebrew writings by the Israelites. You make religion sound like rocket science. I once spent Christmas in the Philippines. They have a decorated spruce tree and eat pork, just like us.
