Finland had already switched sides, so it was too late to buy Jagdpanzers. Moreover, the Soviets demanded demobilization, so Stug III was their only option in 1944. Nevertheless, sergeant major Reino Lehväslaiho (1922-2019) participated in the Battle of Tornio with a captured T-34.
