Why? Isn't the best killer the one who kills the most? This is not a beauty contest.

@manichaean1888 Some Finns also did well in the Red Army. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akseli_Anttila

Many Germans in Russia largely assimilated and integrated into Russian society. There were some 2 million ethnic Germans in the Soviet Union in 1989. https://www.nytimes.com/1992/01/11/world/bonn-urges-russia-to-restore-land-for-its-ethnic-germans.html

A Finnish veteran told he had captured a Kyrgyz child soldier, which was unusual. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the prisoner was a malnourished teenager and therefore small compared to the Nordic people. (Kyrgyz prisoner in the picture is not related to the case.) https://www.sotasampo.fi/fi/photographs/page/sakuva_75523 The Russians are a colorful bunch, says the caption about a wounded Kyrgyz. https://www.sotasampo.fi/fi/photographs/page/sakuva_83640

@WandererRTF In short, team Stalin got rekt.

@Dav serban We can be proud because the blood money was paid back in the 1950s. It's the poor man's Nuke. Truth be told, I do not believe that sins can be inherited.

@manichaean1888 I would also like to point out that a significant proportion of Finns are in fact Western Slavs (including me). https://www.helsinki.fi/en/news/life-science/finlands-recent-history-is-inscribed-in-the-genes

@sergeontheloose Google who was the best german general of ww2

@ProphetFear If East Germany had existed during the Hitler era, would it have been treated better than the Slavs? Perhaps. However, I do not see as a sign of civilization that Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, etc. were subjugated to the self-proclaimed emperor Stalin. Literally slaves. https://youtu.be/IX2xgXm4V50

Rules are rules. I would not go there as a civilian. "The Thai government needs to be absolutely clear about its rules on using force and ensuring that soldiers and police on the streets strictly follow those rules," https://www.hrw.org/news/2010/05/15/thailand-revoke-live-fire-zones-bangkok 2018–19 Gaza border protests https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018%E2%80%9319_Gaza_border_protests

@mabussubam512 To be clear, the Slovak Republic was an ally. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slovak_invasion_of_Poland

@mabussubam512 They even look like caricature Nazis in Hollywood movies. https://www.sotasampo.fi/fi/photographs/page/sakuva_108009

@WandererRTF Mannerheim was an independent right-winger and a pro-Russian monarchist. His great grandfather joined the Anjala conspiracy against the King of Sweden Gustav III. In a speech from 1919 Mannerheim thanked the support he received from the National Coalition Party. The so-called "Finns of Mannerheim" were workers and farmers. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1939_Finnish_parliamentary_election

@manichaean1888 Although "Borrowing Matchsticks" is a comedy based on a misconception, it does contain interesting portrayal of the Tsarist era legal system, written by a socialist. https://youtu.be/-33o2NVE7fw https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0081796/

@JohnKobaRuddy Can't a white man get justice here? I love how homeboy Lauri Pekuri was released in December 1944 😎
