If you leave your front door wide open, you invite intruders. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

Note that US went to Afghanistan assuming there are no cultural differences. I thought pointless trying to fix something that is not broken.

@TheImperatorKnight Notice Hitler has a big cross on his pocket. Generations born in the 1920s and before were highly religious. In 1950, 95% of the DDR citizens were Christians. Also, Buß- und Bettag (Day of Repentance and Prayer) was a public holiday in Nazi Germany, and is still a public holiday in Saxony. I’m not claiming that Hitler was a believer, but these are facts.

When compared to modern politicians like Kersti Kaljulaid, I think logical conclusion is that Hitler was an agnostic. Not possible to be both authoritarian and anti-Christian in a fully Christian society, unless you believe in conspiracy theories.

There were more people in the Axis countries. Germany won the Battle of Stalingrad.

@nedkelly4825 U.S. intervention emptied all of Northern Europe of the Reds. They were starving and didn't have enough men to maintain the Hanko naval base. Not to mention Yanks could nuke Moscow.

@nivlacsenoj6264 In addition, there may be internal threats. Sounds pointless, but it's not.

@nivlacsenoj6264 Children are fine soldiers. They destroy road signs, park benches and waste baskets for fun. My roommate in the army was 17yo at the time. However, Norway was downright flooded with soldiers during WW2. Peak strength was about 500,000 in December 1944.

@МихаилЧерников-п2т We still own the farm that Stalin was trying to "collectivize". He took away your voting rights and farms. How is that our loss?
