You are authentic nazi, if you are a party member, otherwise just a history buff.

@TheImperatorKnight However, Nazism was a religious (to varying degrees) and totalitarian center-left ideology, not communism. It was perfectly logical to go on a crusade against non-religious Bolsheviks. In economic terms the Wehrmacht was no different from the US Army, which also made use of conscription. https://youtu.be/tFwhFqaymdI

I think Hitler was quite brutal, almost like a Civil War leader. But I am confused by the use of word "president" in Hitler's will. He was generally known as just "der Führer". Did Dönitz forge it or why such a democratic term?

@n00btotale I say it's socialism.

They're both very similar. 1. Autocracy, Absolute monarchy 2. City State, Special Administrative Region In practice, people always form some kind of government, but in theory number two is a night-watchman state.

@_Abjuranax_ Stalin was probably suffocated with a pillow. You may be right, but you cannot know with 100% certainty. Dönitz was the last man standing. I think the Mitchell and Webb sketch was pretty funny.

@n00btotale Conscription in the United States ended in 1973, but males aged between 18 and 25 are required to register with the Selective Service System to enable a reintroduction of conscription if necessary.

@juliancate7089 Go to hospital

But it would be funny if the will said, der Führer Martin Bormann. Reichspräsident Karl Dönitz

@n00btotale It's pretty simple. Companies are taxed by the state and conscripts go to military service.

@vadimpm1290 People act like the invasion of Normandy was purely a business decision of a corporation, which paints a rather bleak picture of the US military. https://tinyurl.com/wnbd3fl

@n00btotale "where does socialism stop" In practice, it's not clear whether person is a mercenary or not, as economic and political interests may overlap. For example, many Waffen-SS veterans served with the French Foreign Legion during the First Indochina War. Major Siegfried Müller wore his WW2 Iron Cross First Class on his operations in the Congo https://youtu.be/NB9gyyVrbxk

@reuvenpolonskiy2544 In short, remove democracy from the democrats and the end result is the Nazi party.

Derek Mitchell Currency is a medium of exchange. Generally, most of the wealth is in real estate, but tenants' entire assets can be wiped out by hyperinflation.

Derek Mitchell My original point was that the organization and funding of WW2 era major armies was almost identical. Hyperinflation is socialism, taxation is socialism and conscription is a tax.
