I don't think Mannerheim was surprised that his wife was Russian.

@slovene ball Very similar to what the special forces are doing nowadays in Iraq. But most of the Muslims in Europe were born in Europe, not Arabs. In democracies like Finland the Tatars and the Jews had already been enlisted in 1939.

"more likely to survive" They won't survive. A traitor's paycheck is death!...was death, until capital punishment was abolished in 1972. https://youtu.be/9sLVFxn2Jek Disclaimer: No one shall be sentenced to death, tortured or otherwise treated in a manner violating human dignity.

@guidobolke5618 I don't guarantee that tabloid journalists are honest, but according to this article SS-Unterscharführer (Junior section leader) Kähärä denies the concept of Nordic race. Ethnic Finns were not considered Germanic, which is of course true. On the other hand, later on, they were fierce fighters and received praise from German commanders. No genealogy was asked from any rank below that of a commissioned officer. Minors were admitted with the consent of their parents. In this case, he had forged the papers. 16yo SS-Unterscharführer (Junior section leader) Aarne Kähärä, now 95yo. https://www.iltalehti.fi/kotimaa/a/899e8759-e5bd-4685-99de-23e6fd1875f1 Memorial cross https://tammenlehva.fi/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2016/03/SS-vapaaehtoisten_mr-1.png

@Szpareq We all have our preferences. Doug Rivers, the chief scientist at YouGov, said: “Americans tend to think that countries populated by people of their own race are allies of the United States..." https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/02/03/upshot/which-country-do-americans-like-most-for-republicans-its-australia.html

@g-rexsaurus794 How do you survive traffic lights?

It doesn't matter to me what terminology is used as long as the peoples right to self-determination is recognized, due to historical ties, heritage, language and religion.

How does that differ from Nazi theories? Slavic countries such as Slovakia, Croatia and Bulgaria were involved right from the start. Not to mention the Molotov-Ribbentrop agreement.

@amalgama2000 Selective breeding is not rocket science. Sterilization and abortion is still practiced on a small scale, if the health of mother is at risk. They were pretty much right considering the DNA was discovered in 1953.

Not that I condone nazism, but from a henhouse to Nazi Germany’s top leadership doesn’t sound stupid. In the case of Finland, fertility was better than today as early as 1945. So in reality, the perdition is happening right now and the future looks like Istanbul, if we are lucky.

@guidobolke5618 I wouldn't say deep disdain for science, but advances in understanding inheritance continued throughout the 20th century. I'm pretty sure that the Britons gathered the souls of Englishmen from Africa and Australia.

Eisen Chao On the morning of 22 November 1944, General John Carl Murchie told McNaughton that his policies had failed and hardly any of the 60,000 men were volunteering to "go active", which McNaughton recalled "was like a blow to the stomach". https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conscription_Crisis_of_1944

You can't. The people have decided they are far-right. Like it or not, economic liberalism has no place in continental Europe.

@DaveGIS123 Are you related to Henrik Ramsay?

@DaveGIS123 Fair enough I would say that eastern Finland is undervalued. Swiss SSR ambience: https://youtu.be/ffZUBIg-uf4 https://tinyurl.com/ql9uekm

Himmler went on vacation and sauna in Finland. It's quite possible that I am his illegitimate grandchild. https://tinyurl.com/txmusd4
