@maximbravo6835 "What was stopping them". According to you, they were escorted out from Pelkosenniemi. lol the Soviets had a brass band there. Nowhere near the border. I agree Finland lost Vyborg in 1940 and Petsamo in 1944. The Reds lost Hanko 1941, Ivalo 1945 and Porkkala 1956. Mauno Pekkala and Yrjö Leino lost the election in 1948.

I suspect it's around 11 million. More if you count from 1933. I think it's good idea to set a 19yo NCO as the company commander for a while. This happened near Malgobek, when the Nordland regiment was obliterated in 1942, a real life scenario.

After all, numbers don’t matter. You have to defend yourself. I got on the bus in front of my home, and I asked the driver where he was from. He answered, from St. Petersburg. If someone says Eastern Finland is not Eastern Europe, he is wrong.

The World at War (TV Series 1973–1974), 9.2/10 on imdb. That's how WW2 should be taught to general public.

@leoa4c I am not interested in much other than Eastern Finland and Lapland. Fortunately, Brigadier General Lauri Kiianlinna has translated the most important documents to Finnish.
