  9.  @michem710  After the war many nazis fled to Sweden due to the heightened political repression in Finland. SS-"lieutenant colonel" Kalervo Kurkiala retired in Filipstad, Sweden. Lauri Törni also fled to Latin America via Sweden.

  14.  @tyskbulle  If the peace treaty had allowed it, settling 3,000 Germans (or even 200k) in Finland would not have been a problem. The Soviet Union had a strange way of hauling "criminals" from abroad. Apparently the USSR was indeed in ruins.
