  2. You are a mercenary. They were conscripts. Suppose that peace is concluded in 1940. The Nazis would have censored a few books and a couple of movies. Maybe a stamp would have been issued in honour of Adolf Hitler in Liverpool. France would have been only partially occupied. That said, I think 1945 is the good old days for the Western Europe and neutral countries.
