  1. Epic when Finland defeated Russia and the USA in Sochi. Most satisfying bronze medal ever. Sweden managed to beat Finland. Canada defeated Sweden.

  2.  @MrFusionCube  Take a look at the fragile state index. Russia is actually more fragile than us. Finland is not committed to being nuclear-weapon-free. An attack on Finland would also change opinion in Sweden.

  3. During the Finnish Civil War, president Urho Kekkonen fought for the White Guard, including leading a firing squad in Hamina. Although he was a charismatic leader, I don’t think the USSR would accept him or capitalism, if they had total control.

  8. During the Winter war, fighting had already broken out in Pelkosenniemi when an offensive by the Finnish forces to the enemy’s rear decided the battle in the Finns’ favour. The Reds retreated over 90km back to Russia.

  11.  @mladenmatosevic4591  As a former conscript, I do not think NATO's downside is troop level in Finland, but a crusade in Libya. I do not remember whether NATO was in Iraq, but that project has developed in a better direction. KFOR was certainly a success.

  12.  @henrikl4244  UN SC Resolution 1973 gave NATO a mandate to enforce a no-fly zone and granted "all necessary measures" to protect civilians in Libya. Sounds bs to me, because Libya is not a member.
