@daryllportas8453 if my child was in pain, suffering every day and said, I wish to have euthanasia and die in peace, I would respect that. And even a young child can make that decision. My sister was only 5 when she got leukaemia, she had all the horrendous treatments, bloated like a puffer fish, hair all gone, kids laughing at her, vomiting all the time, gaining remission and hope, only for it to come back and it started all over again.. .again remission, hair growing back, then yes, back it came again!! By now she is only 9yrs old, but talks like a 30yr old, so wise beyond years...she begged my mum not to make her have more treatment, she cried, she raged. She was Forced again.. . But the mind is powerful, she told mum she gave up, she was sick of doctors, medicine and Hospital..and especially sick of vomiting!! She lay down and willed herself, and died 3 days later. I became a nurse after that, when I finished school, I wanted to give people the best care. Some you can save, some you can't, all look so much more peaceful when they pass and the pain is not crushing them every day. It's not an area I worked in for long, very depressing, I preferred to work surgical where we could fix them and send them home... but I'm grateful for nurses stronger than myself who were able to continually work on the cancer wards... it can be a living Hell.
