So called "Secure VPN" will be quite crackable when the quantum computer arrives. Then we'll see The Great Scurrying-For-Cover as people frantically try to hide their digital pasts, LOL!

Albert, go fourth and multiply ... OK, you can integrate over the entire Gallois field if you really feel you need to ...

Previously on Nazi Rocket Monkeys ... Fruit fly astronauts: exist Parachute: "Nice flies!"

Their cover of the Beatles single "Uncle Albert" wasn't bad, either.

Eamonn Wright That's amazing - I had not heard of that. I wonder if the British knew they had the information but it wasn't easily accessible due to the impact of the war on the Patents Office, or if they didn't even know they had that information at the time?

@ericstapleton9577 I am happy to stand by what I have put on the Internet. Others may not be so happy to own their opinions in years to come, especially, when global opinion changes on certain issues. For example; employers are already looking at the digital pasts of new hires, and increasingly they are implementing social media policies which limit (to some degree) what employees can say online in their own time. There have been cases where employees have been let go because what they've posted online doesn't accord with their employer's publicly stated views on certain matters, or the expected behaviours. We can expect to see cases where people are refused employment with certain organisations based on what they said many years ago. And people won't succeed by trying to use these companies who claim to be able to erase one's digital past - employers will be able to afford to pay investigative organisations who can negate the effects of such erasure attempts.

@Dave_Sisson When I was at uni there was a band called "Pineapples From The Dawn Of Time".

"And now, here's Nazi Rocket Monkeys, and their latest Beatles cover!" <Applause, whistles, etc> "We're so sorry, Uncle Albert ..."

Top Turf I wonder how well the parachutes would've worked if they'd been "volunteered" as the first Americans in space?

llewellyn evans Agree - what happened to the Polish service personnel sent home after the war ended was downright terrible.

@ericstapleton9577 NSA doesn't already have a quantum computer. In any case, NSA wouldn't have the resources to monitor worldwide Internet traffic - some people might not realise, but there is a whole other world outside the USA which uses the Internet, and there are encryption systems to which the NSA doesn't have access.

@t16205 Have you cracked it yet? Or don't you want it enough?

@redram5150 He also used "ad-hominem fallacy" ... the moment I hear / read that I think "oooohhh ... Arts student" and carefully back away ...

Moral of the story for a rhesus monkey seeking longevity in the late 40s: don't be named Albert.

The fruit flies probably never knew how lucky they were not to be monkeys.

As opposed to gnawed VPN ...

It's probably the only time a monkey would ever wish it was a fruit fly instead.
